Pity Kiss Gets A Makeover

Posted by The Directors

Yes, we've been getting a lot done... If you count opening accounts on every social website known to man as getting things done. Personally I don't think it's a bad idea, if we can network and keep in touch with people it'll be a good deal.

I really like this new layout, but I'm completely inept at coding, so I'm not sure how to get the above buttons to work or make pages to make them work in terms of Blogger. So, for now, they don't work. Don't bother clicking them, you'll feel stupid. Along with that I'm trying to figure out how to get the edit button to show up and the "Add New Post" button up top, because currently I have to take the long way to start posting.

Anyway, I'm hoping this will be a little more clean and professional looking. It doesn't really matter, but you know.

As for an actual update:

Auditions are tomorrow (Thursday, February 26th)
4-6 pm
Shaw Lounge, The Commons, Cornell College

I spent an hour and a half finding, editing and preparing the parts we're going to have people cold read tomorrow, had a billion and a half pages to print and in an attempt to save time and paper, I tried to print them front to back... And somehow.

I got side to side. Don't ask me how I did it.

Yes, there was some silent cursing and because I printed these at school I didn't want to waste more of my printing allowance reprinting them. So, hopefully the text isn't so tiny no one can read them and I hope I've printed enough copies. I was going to print 10 of each, but then I thought I was overestimating the power of our awesomeness, which lead to me printing off five copies of each. I don't think it'll be a problem. I seriously doubt we'll have that many people show.

That may sound overly critical, but we are holding these on the first full day of block break, people (theater folk included) will probably be going home for the weekend and so far I really haven't had any replies to my e-mail. That doesn't necessarily mean there won't be anyone there (unless requested, I don't remember any of our high school auditions needing sign-up... It's been a while though) but I don't think it's going to be a lot.

If maybe I'm just being a dork and a lot of people do show up, I've sent what we're having them read to my e-mail and I can print off more on the Commons printer. So, issss alll gooood.

Anyway, I've wasted enough time on this. I have a few more lines to add to a scene I've been swearing I'll get done for the last three days and haven't and I need to run to Hy-Vee and see if there is some cheap juice or water I can buy to go along with the treats Sara's bringing. I don't know if there will be anyone to drink it or if Sara's choice in treats will go with what I buy-- according to my mom, I can't buy juice if she's bringing brownies... Which is exactly what I was going to get... You know, like those Capri Sun packs or those juice bottles with the twist off caps everyone used to love when they were little (or I did anyway). I guess what mom doesn't know won't kill her, because even if it is Brownies... We're getting juice, especially if it's cheap.

So, for now, enjoy the new layout and if you happen to know how to fix the above mentioned issues, that would be awesome. Because I'd like to do that.

Ta-tas-- Bodacious ta-tas!!
