Too bad I didn't have the opportunity to print it in color, but I only have access to Black and White printers right now. Oh well. It doesn't look terrible in B&W just not as eye-catching.
In any case, I'm nervous because I sent an e-mail about the auditions to one of the theater professors yesterday and left my inbox open while I worked, hoping I would catch him at a good time to reply. You know, just to let me know if he thought it was a terrible idea and wouldn't forward it to the theater interest group, or if he thought it was great and forwarded it to the theater interest group. Every time I got an e-mail my heart stopped and I got really nervous it was him.
But no. The man has not replied. At all.
You've got to understand, this is the first time I've really put anything out to the public, as in looking for help. I was all freaked out trying to figure out if I was allowed to reserve a room, considering I have no student to back me. The woman was really nice and let me reserve anyway, sponsoring it with the Info Desk name, rather than make me beg. So we've got the room from 4-6pm and hopefully we'll have some peeps show up. I'm hoping I don't have to actually act if we only get a few responses. I would just like to know either way, so I have at least a little time to find another way to get the word out.
Which is the reason for the above poster. I have to come back to The Commons later today, so as to get more permission from the lady that was nice before. One of the girls there is a girl in my math class, she couldn't approve it right away because I don't have a sponsoring group, but she seems optimistic that the head honcho will approve them,if she's already approved my room reservation. Plus, I've seen a few other posters that were approved by the Info Desk... So. We'll see. I'll come back after class today and see how that goes.
If not, I'll have to find some other way to get these posted.
I feel kind of lame not having the script done, but, I think we're well on the way. Despite my ADD when writing, I think I'm making progress. Luckily, afternoon class is short today and I'll be able to get more done today. Plus Sara and I are getting together to choose scenes that need to be cleaned up and prepared for Thursday.
I'm starting to feel like a professional... At least in the sense we're kicking booty in the advertising department. It certainly isn't like we're not trying. Too bad we don't have a casting director and access to big name stars everywhere. Who would I want to play Evander if I could choose any actor in the world? I don't know, but Paul Bettany would frigging well be somewhere in this movie. No. Discussion.
Until the next update!

"That's so admirable!"
Note: If you are interested in helping us create this monsterpiece, please remember it will require a great deal of commitment. This does not mean Sara and I are opposed to scheduling around jobs and real life, as we have them too. Just remember, if you make the commitment, you will be expected to show up, do what you've said you will and when it is scheduled. I do not want to waste my time or anyone else's time as we have precious little of it.
Thank you for your understanding.
